About Fight or Flight, LLC
Based in the mountain town of Westcliffe, Colorado, Fight or Flight was founded with a clear goal: to deliver high-quality, accessible education in emergency medicine and critical care—for healthcare professionals and everyday citizens alike. We believe that in the face of crisis, knowledge is power, and confidence saves lives.
We offer a wide range of certification and training courses tailored to both clinical and non-clinical learners. Our professional offerings include American Heart Association (AHA) and Emergency Nursing Association (ENA) curriculum—covering BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC. For the broader community, we teach vital life-saving skills such as CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed, making sure every student walks away capable, prepared, and confident.
With over 18 years of experience in Emergency Nursing, Ashley brings a wealth of hands-on expertise and a passion for teaching. In the past two years, she has traveled across the U.S. to teach ENA courses for Emergency Nurse Residency programs, and now is expanding opportunities at home to serve Colorado and beyond, including on-site private group training.
Our Mission
At Fight or Flight, our mission is to empower healthcare providers and communities through exceptional education in emergency medicine. We build confidence and resilience by fostering curiosity, compassion, and courage in the face of crisis. Rooted in trauma-informed and empathy-based practices, we prepare individuals to respond with skill and heart—believing that strong, connected communities begin with those who are empowered to act when it matters most.
Our Commitment
At Fight or Flight, we’re not just here to teach skills—we’re here to help build stronger, safer, more resilient communities. Whether you’re a seasoned healthcare provider or someone who simply wants to be prepared to help in an emergency, we’re here to empower you every step of the way. We believe quality education comes from connection, not crowding. That’s why we intentionally limit our class sizes—creating a focused, engaging environment where every student receives personalized attention. This approach fosters deeper learning, encourages critical thinking, and ensures each participant leaves not just certified, but truly prepared.
Rooted in Service and Community
Service is the foundation of everything we do. In addition to training others to act in moments of crisis, Fight or Flight is deeply committed to volunteerism and community involvement. As an active participant in both local and national service efforts, we proudly support:
- Custer County Search and Rescue (CCSAR) – Serving our local mountain region by responding to emergencies and saving lives in challenging terrain.
- Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) – Supporting military families who have lost a loved one, offering peer-based emotional support, resources, and hope.
We don’t just support these organizations in word—we back them with action. A portion of proceeds from every community based class will be donated to support the work of CCSAR and TAPS. We also encourage others to get involved, whether by volunteering, spreading awareness, or making a contribution.
Looking Ahead to the Future
At Fight or Flight, we are always evolving to meet the needs of the communities we serve. In addition to current offerings, we are working towards future course offerings in:
- Wilderness Medicine
- Trauma Informed Kickboxing
These additions reflect our belief that preparation and healing go hand in hand—especially for those in high-stakes, high-stress roles and environments. The confidence and empathy required to take care of others begins with taking care of yourself. Wilderness medicine also aligns with our passion for adventure and exploration, equipping individuals for managing medical emergencies in austere environments.
